Exegesis At The End Of Time
Last night (9/04/2026) Kershaw and Wade were joined by local musician, songwriter, and bassist, guitarist of Chapel Hill / Durhams own MAKE. If you’re a metal fan and not heard of these guys, find them and give them a listen. A polished seasoned group of musicians who according to Spencer have created thematic psychedelic music which he referred to as “noise-sludge”. I personally have no idea what noise-sludge is, but I can tell you Exegesis At the End of Time delivers intense music seeking to awaken your mind and soul. We learned the band originally formed here in the local area when Spencer and Scott met back in the 2008 timeframe. Scott had originally planned on joining our show unfortunately personal matters interrupted plans. Spencer and Scott the bands original members have been playing in numerous local acts throughout the area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill/Carrboro) and as MAKE they have been creating a very intense brand for themselves. The latest release fell in my lap (Kershaw) and I learned Scott and Spencer have been in a relationship with Accident Prone Records for about 10 years. The two recordings being Pilgrimage of Loathing and now their latest Exegesis At the End Of Time. Both are solid recordings with great engineering, mastering and production. The latest LP is the fourth in their catalogue and delivers a dynamic punch to the soul. The 10 years hiatus from music has had some turnover in the band, with new drummer (John Couch) and keys, bass, vocals (Aaron Smithers). This latest LP in simple term Kicks Ass!
