Scott Page joined our WCOM-lp family
WCOM and Weekly Dose Of … welcomed Mr. Scott Page to our show; July 12th. Scott was brought to Weekly Dose Of … by F. Scott Moyer and the “Legends of the Groove Signature Cymbal”. Scott has worked with more than 20 of the legendary drummers who’s signatures have been captured on the signature cymbal. Scott has a storied career which includes touring and session work with bands like ToTo, Supertramp and Pink Floyd. During our interview we learned how and why Scott found music, but more importantly we learned about his entrepreneurial work in business ventures and NFTs.
Scott’s tenor sax and guitar work can be heard on many records most of us grew up with. In addition to his brilliant musicianship, Scott is a technologist, and entrepreneur and is currently CEO of Think -EXP, a Los Angeles based media company focused on live immersive entertainment. During our broadcast we learned some amazing insight about vaulted materials which he contributed to that are now sitting on the surface of the moon. Scott has led a number of private ventures and worked with audio-video post-production which have produced projects for The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, and several others artists.
Scott’s technology ventures include co-founding 7th Level, Inc., a CD-ROM game and educational software company where he co-produced TuneLand, an interactive musical cartoon starring Howie Mandel and featuring David Gilmour. In addition, we learned Scott has contributed to the development of QD7, an interactive multimedia joint venture with Quincy Jones and David Salzman that resulted from Jones’ partnering with Scott’s company. We only had a little over an hour with Scott, but what we learned speaks volumes to his incredible contributions to music and the arts. Weekly Dose Of … thanks Scott for his amazing career and talents and the gift of his time on our show. We look forward to having him join us again for a more in-depth centric focus… he hinted a few times about the stores he could tell, but time was short and we could only get a summary. Until next time!
