Just another night with the Legends of the Groove Signature Cymbal, only on Weekly Dose Of …

Last night (02/23/24) was another magical night at WCOM and only heard on Weekly Dose Of … Our good friend F. Scott Moyer brought a huge surprise guest to the show as part of our ongoing Legends of the Groove Signature Cymbal segments.  We had Mr. James Zota Baker, who is currently living in the Los Angeles area.  James is a journeyman musician whose career and musical contributions make up part of the soundtrack of our lives.  He has played with many musicians captured on the cymbal and he delves into those associations.  James is currently a member of Arco Iris, and War, and he has shared the stage with Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bonnie Raitt, Tower of Power, Toto, Average White Band, Joan Jett, Natalie Cole, Lou Rawls, Doobie Brothers, Chaka Khan, Earth, Wind and Fire, Parliment, Los Lobos, Men At Work, David Lee Roth, Robin Trower, The Isley Brother, Buddy Guy, Chic, Nile Rodgers, Jethro Tull, Motorhead, Cheap Trick, Morris Day and the Time, Perry Farrell, Michael Brecker and Herbie Hancock, and many more.  Last night we showcased several great tracks, and two albums James has contributed to, which include his composition with Edgar Winter, as well as his own title Brand New Eyes.  His footprint on music is mind blowing when you look at his storied musical journey.  Please join in for another great night of music, conversation, and some incredible history behind the music.
