About the Show
“Vientos del Sur” es un programa que combina música de Chile, Sudamérica y del mundo, con conversaciones en español. Invitamos a personas de distintos países que viven y trabajan en Carolina del Norte, EEUU, y a organizaciones sociales, para dar a conocer su trabajo, estrategias y las formas en que la comunidad puede integrarse y participar.
Reconocemos el idioma español como un territorio, como una amplia red de colaboración entre personas y comunidades, y como una herramienta poderosa para expresar nuestros pensamientos y emociones en un mundo orientado hacia la producción y el individualismo.
Se inspira en la realidad de personas y familias inmigrantes, que se identifican con Hispanoamérica, Sudamérica, Latinoamérica y el Caribe. Sin embargo, este espacio está orientado también a todas las personas del mundo que estudian español y que lo han hecho parte de sus vidas.
Tiene como objetivo contribuir a la integración de las comunidades y a potenciar el encuentro entre las instituciones y la comunidad.

“South Winds” is a Radio Show that combines music from Chile, South America and the world, with conversations in Spanish. We invite people from different countries who live and work in North Carolina, USA, and social organizations, to publicize their work, strategies and the ways in which the community can integrate and participate.
We recognize the Spanish language as a territory, as a wide network of collaboration between people and communities, and as a powerful tool to express our thoughts and emotions in a world oriented towards production and individualism.
It is inspired by the reality of immigrant individuals and families, who identify with Hispanic America, South America, Latin America and the Caribbean. However, this space is also aimed at all the people in the world who study Spanish and who have made it part of their lives.
Its objective is to contribute to the integration of communities and to promote the encounter between institutions and the community.
