Vientos del Sur

WCOM, through Rodrigo Tossi and “Vientos del Sur,” participated in opening the Chapel Hill City Council Candidate Forum “Stand Up! Town Hall” on October 16 at the United Church of Chapel Hill, alongside the organizations “Siembra NC,” “Make North Carolina Work,” and “Justice United.” This important meeting allowed us to learn about the candidates’ positions on issues affecting the community, such as federal cuts, the cost of living, loss of health care, raids on the immigrant population, and other topics of interest to citizens.

WCOM, a través de Rodrigo Tossi y “Vientos del Sur”, participaron abriendo el Foro de candidatos a Council de la ciudad de Chapel Hill “Stand Up! Town Hall”, el pasado 16 de octubre, en la Iglesia Unida de Chapel Hill, junto a las Organizaciones “Siembra NC”, “Make North Carolina Work” y “Justice United. Este importante encuentro permitió conocer las posturas de los candidatos ante situaciones que afectan a la comunidad, como los recortes federales, el costo de la vida, perdida de cuidado medico, redadas a población inmigrante, y otros temas de interes para la ciudadanía.
