About the Show
The Carrborean Radio Hour extends The Carrborean’s purpose of connecting community and supporting local businesses and organizations to an audio format that shares Carrboro’s voices with WCOM listeners. Feature segments include:
- “Town Treasures” – interviews with people contributing to Carrboro’s unique character
- “Ctrl+alt+art” – an art radio show that focuses on artists, writers, makers, and musicians in Carrboro and their experience on how we reach our community with the art we make
- “Carrboreatin’” – focusing on food and the food system in Carrboro; also a feature in the free monthly print issues available around town

The Carrborean is a new media platform focusing on Art, Life, and Civic Engagement in Carrboro. Its purpose is to connect us and support local businesses through sharing stories, art, and information about events and people in Carrboro. We want to deliver hyper-local news to foster community connection and amplify voices.
