About the Show
Join legendary vinyl DJ, Don Play, as he mixes two hours of non-stop dance music (house, disco, new wave, techno) every Wednesday night from 11pm-1am. A true historian of dance music and club culture, Don helps fans of dance music learn about the disc jockeys, producers, nightclubs, record labels, and radio stations that have contributed to the broader dance music scene. But most importantly, every episode is a 2-hour dance workout with seamlessly mixed tracks and underground classics.
About the host
Don Play has been spinning dance music as a nightclub and event DJ since 1997, leading him to buy his first pair of turntables. He began deejaying his high school dances before graduating to night clubs and college house parties in Boston, Cleveland, New York, and Detroit. His early love of dance music began at the age of 10, when he bought his first cassettes — “World Clique” by Deee-Lite, and “The White Room” by The KLF. Since then, Don has played at popular venues such as Karma, Middlesex, The Enormous Room, and Machine (Boston), and opened for popular music acts such as En Vogue and Morris Day and The Time.
