Monday mornings on WCOM are about to get a lot more inspiring. On Monday, October 26, we’re premiering The Keynote Address: A Speakers Showcase, a new weekly show hosted by motivational speaker, consultant, and coach Russell W. Scott. It airs every Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. on 103.5 FM in Carrboro.

The idea is simple, and it’s a good one. Most of us only hear great speakers in sound bites. Russell wants to give you the whole stage.

How the show works

Each week, one professional speaker steps up to the mic. The first half of the hour is theirs: a full 20-minute keynote, delivered just as they’d give it to a packed room. Then Russell sits down with them for a 20-minute conversation about where the talk came from, the story behind the speaker, and what they want listeners to actually do with it.

You’ll hear a mix of rising voices and seasoned pros, covering leadership, motivation, storytelling, and practical ideas you can use before lunch.

“Great speakers don’t just give presentations; they give people something to think about, talk about, and act on,” Russell says. “The Keynote Address gives listeners a front-row seat to that experience.”
