WCOM 103.5 FM is excited to welcome Brain Wealth, a new weekly show hosted by Gabbo, blending financial literacy, personal growth, and music into a thoughtful, reflective Sunday morning experience.
Airing Sundays from 10 AM to 12 PM, Brain Wealth explores what it truly means to build wealth—not just in money, but in mindset, relationships, and self understanding.
Born and raised in Mexico City, Gabbo came to WCOM while searching for radio that offered real value to the community. He found a home in community radio and a platform to share what he is passionate about: helping people grow financially and personally through education, curiosity, and conversation.
“I want to contribute to society in a small way through what I know,” Gabbo says. “And I hope this becomes a learning experience for everyone, including me.”
Each week, Brain Wealth focuses on topics in basic financial literacy alongside neurological and sociological concepts that shape how people think, decide, and live. Gabbo draws inspiration from local journalism, academic research, and conversations with experts including college professors and neuroscientists. He also invites community organizations to share their work, helping connect listeners with real resources and opportunities.
Music is an essential part of the show’s storytelling. Rather than sticking to one genre, Gabbo c urates eclectic playlists ranging from traditional Mexican music to Bach and Mozart. Every selection connects back to the week’s main theme through lyrics, history, or emotional resonance.
The show speaks to two audiences in particular. In Spanish, Gabbo hopes to reach listeners focused on building financial stability. In English, he connects with those seeking a broader definition of wealth—one rooted in balance, reflection, and meaningful choices.
Listeners can expect honest conversations, practical insight, and moments of quiet inspiration. The goal is simple: to help people recognize that many challenges begin internally, and that lasting change often starts with self awareness.
Gabbo’s journey with radio began years ago, after playing in a rock band in Mexico and giving an interview at a commercial station. That experience sparked a lasting love for broadcasting and storytelling.
If he could interview anyone, it would be his grandmother. Through that imagined conversation, he reminds himself—and his listeners—of the importance of curiosity, empathy, and truly listening to others, no matter who they are.
Even before the show’s official launch, Gabbo experienced the power of atmosphere and connection while recording a podcast episode where a simple moment of shared calm transformed a nervous guest into a deeply open conversation. It is moments like these that shape the spirit of Brain Wealth.
