On Saturday, November 15 at 2 PM, WCOM welcomes The NuBeing Collective, a Greensboro-based hip-hop band that’s more than just a group — they’re a movement. Formed in late 2020, The NuBeing Collective has built a reputation for authenticity, depth, and genre-bending creativity. Their sound pulls from a broad spectrum of influences, creating something uniquely their own: thoughtful, rhythm-driven, and undeniably real.

They’ll join DJ Aurora on Play by Ear for an in-studio conversation and live performance — and this one’s extra special. The session will be featured in their upcoming documentary series, The NuBeing Evolution, premiering on YouTube on November 27. The series tells the group’s story of perseverance, artistry, and purpose — what it truly means to “consistently work to be your best self.”

“We’re not just making music; we’re mapping out how to move through the industry without losing who you are,” the group explains.

During their WCOM appearance, The NuBeing Collective will discuss the making of The NuBeing Evolution, share the meaning behind their work, and perform songs from their forthcoming sophomore release.

The group’s momentum doesn’t stop there — they’re set to perform with the Gail Brower Huggins Performance Center in the Odell Building at Greensboro College on March 21, 2026, and at the Strange Fruit Music Festival on April 18, 2026, both in Greensboro.

Tune in live on 103.5 FM WCOM or stream online at wcomfm.org to catch The NuBeing Collective and DJ Aurora as they take Play by Ear to new heights.
