| Solomon came to the Carrboro/Chapel Hill area from Ohio over 25 years ago and has been involved in a variety of artistic enterprises ever since. Most notably he has been on the radio off and on for over 20 of those years on a number of local stations – WUNC, WXYC and WNCU - till he crowned it off with his current show on WCOM. He has been involved with acting and the theatre even longer. Today he is part of the It’s A Mystery theatre group that produces mystery dinner theatre events. And he’s a proud Dad – the important thing in life. Backbone! is about exploring the links that tie together the incredible variety of jazz musical expression, from the 20’s up to the present. It is about providing air time for the less frequently heard jazz artists who have so much to offer. And it is about how much fun the music really is, especially with Solomon on the board. Tune in, enjoy some great listening and maybe discover something new! |
